The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at the Cambridge concrete site, overseeing the day-to-day operation of a batch concrete plant. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00, with overtime opportunities available.

This position offers the chance to take ownership of a busy production environment where safety, quality and operational efficiency are central to success. You’ll play a key role in coordinating plant activities, maintaining high operational standards and supporting the smooth delivery of products to customers. If you have loading shovel experience, enjoy practical problem-solving and take pride in maintaining safe and efficient site operations, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervising the day-to-day running of the wet batch concrete plant, ensuring operations are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with company procedures
  • Operating the batching plant and accurately batching concrete to specification and quality standards
  • Carrying out routine plant inspections, basic maintenance activities and reporting defects or operational issues promptly
  • Operating and maintaining the loading shovel safely and effectively to support plant operations and material management
  • Monitoring stock levels, processing delivery and collection documentation accurately, and maintaining high housekeeping and site safety standards

  • You hold loading shovel experience and are confident operating plant equipment safely
  • You have a good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards within an operational setting
  • You are organised, reliable and able to manage multiple operational priorities effectively
  • You communicate well with colleagues, customers and management teams, contributing positively to a collaborative working environment
  • You are proactive in identifying maintenance requirements, operational improvements and site housekeeping standards
