The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at Torr Works Quarry, supporting the delivery of a strong and progressive SHE strategy across a busy operational environment. This is a permanent, site-based role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders to promote a positive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This opportunity would suit an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical operational support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting and implementing Safety, Health & Environmental strategies, policies and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Providing specialist SHE guidance and practical support to operational teams to help maintain compliance with legislation, company standards and integrated management systems
- Supporting audits, inspections, incident investigations and high-profile site visits, while identifying opportunities to enhance site performance and safety culture
- Assisting with the development and delivery of SHE procedures, guidance and training programmes in collaboration with operational teams and the wider workforce
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, enforcement agencies and local communities to support effective communication and positive engagement
Who you are
- You have a strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and how it applies within industrial or operational settings
- You are an effective communicator who can build collaborative relationships and provide constructive guidance across all levels of the business
- You are organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and high standards
- You are confident supporting audits, investigations, inspections and continuous improvement activities
- You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and workplace culture
