The Opportunity
We are looking for a General Operative / Mobile Plant Operative to join a busy and well-established operation at Duntiland. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working within a fast-paced production environment where safety, teamwork, and reliability are highly valued. The role offers variety across mobile plant operation, fixed plant duties, and site operations, with opportunities to develop your skills across equipment including ADT, loading shovel, and excavator machinery. With overtime available, structured shift patterns, and the chance to be part of a busy operation, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a collaborative site team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Safely operate mobile plant equipment including ADT, loading shovel, and other machinery while carrying out daily safety inspections.
- Support the operation of fixed production plant and assist with product dispatch and quality control processes.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site, ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy, and hazard free.
- Monitor production activities, report breakdowns or stoppages, and work closely with site management and maintenance teams.
- Carry out routine plant inspections and support the efficient day-to-day running of the operation.
Who you are
- You have previous experience working within a similar industrial, quarry, recycling, aggregates, or heavy plant environment.
- You are confident operating mobile plant machinery.
- You enjoy working as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and site management.
