The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our regional engineering team, offering maintenance support to multiple sites in the area. You will be part of our team of engineers covering Ready-mix & Asphalt sites as well as two Quarries across the Central Belt region. With the support of experienced engineers, you will learn and develop your existing skills to become an expert in our industrial environment. There is a real variety of environments, projects and faults to work with, so you will (subject to your experience) spend your initial six months in the passenger seat, buddied up with one of our other engineers to build your knowledge of this sector. Covering Monday-Friday days, you will attend breakdowns and scheduled work across the Central Belt region. Our base of operations for the area is at Duntiland, near Shotts, so you will need to be commutable to our site here.
Who you are
- You will have experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Looking to upskill and learn welding/fabrication techniques to boost your existing Fitting knowledge.
- Safety is a big part of our culture, so you will ideally have experience with Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
- As this is a multi-site position, you will also need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
