The Opportunity
Holcim now have an excellent opportunity for you to embark on your career as a Trainee Logistics Coordinator at our office in Kettering. Onsite known as a Logistics Coordinator, where you'll have the support of our Senior Planners to develop into an essential member of the team. Your training will start with an initial shadowing period as well as an opportunity to get out of the office and learn about our sites and vehicles. Once your initial training is complete you'll have the continued daily support of the senior planners and your other team members whilst you start to organise the delivery of materials to our customers, liaise with various departments to inform them of anticipated delays and learn to negotiate haulage rates.
Who you are
This is a trainee role so we're not expecting you to be an experienced planner already, what you'll need is a desire to learn and progress a career within logistics. You'll spend time speaking with hauliers as well as other members of the business so you'll need to have the confidence to speak on the phone.
