The Opportunity
Join Holcim as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our flagship site, Bardon Hill, one of our three super quarries in the UK. In this pivotal role, you’ll be part of a team ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems in a state-of-the-art facility. Working on a 4 on 4 off and 5 on 5 off shift rotation, with a combination of days and nights, you’ll have the chance to contribute to major projects and play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of one of the largest quarries in the country.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you'll be expected to:
- Perform day-to-day inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Respond to plant breakdowns, implementing timely fixes and ensuring a return to production with permanent solutions.
- Carry out testing, installation, and maintenance of various electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, control panels, and safety devices.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, keeping work areas clean and hazard-free while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Train and support operatives, ensuring they are equipped to handle electrical tasks safely and effectively.
Who You Are
You’re a highly motivated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a passion for safety and operational excellence. Minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering, with experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Proficient in fault finding, installation, and repair of electrical systems, including buried cables and control panels. IT literate, with the ability to manage maintenance schedules and safety documentation effectively.
