The Opportunity
We are looking for a Financial Manager to join our Land Recovery business. This is a key leadership role within a high-growth area of Holcim UK, where you will act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, supporting the development of a recently acquired business as it continues to evolve. You will play a central role in strengthening financial control, improving insight and reporting, and helping shape the future direction of the finance function within a dynamic operational environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as finance business partner to the Land Recovery Senior Leadership Team, providing insight, challenge and support on performance and decision-making.
- Leading and developing a small finance team covering invoicing, payroll and credit control, ensuring a robust end-to-end finance process.
- Owning the month-end process, management accounts, forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clarity of reporting.
- Strengthening financial controls, balance sheet integrity and compliance, supporting the implementation of group standards and best practice.
- Supporting commercial decision-making through pricing, costing and financial analysis, helping improve visibility of business performance.
Who you are
- You are an experienced finance professional operating at Financial Manager level, ideally within a small to mid-sized, fast-moving business environment.
- You are confident leading a finance team and take pride in developing people, structure and strong financial processes.
- You bring strong technical accounting knowledge alongside a commercial mindset, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight and action.
- You are comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders, offering constructive challenge and building trusted working relationships.
- You work with high attention to detail, strong integrity and a clear focus on financial control, governance and continuous improvement.
