The Opportunity
We're looking for a practical and dependable Plant Operative to join our Purfleet Asphalt Plant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the plant, helping to ensure materials are produced and dispatched to meet customer demand. Working a rotating shift pattern of Monday to Friday 05:00-14:30 and 08:30-18:00, along with Saturday shifts 05:00-12:00, you'll be part of a busy operational environment where teamwork, reliability and attention to detail are essential. The role offers the opportunity to develop new skills across plant operations, with full training available for the right individual.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the safe and efficient running of the asphalt plant and associated site operations.
- Operating the weighbridge and assisting with vehicle movements and customer collections.
- Carrying out general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and organised site.
- Assisting with basic plant maintenance and daily operational checks.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure production and dispatch targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
