Following the recent acquisition of P J Thory & Gemmix, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join the business at an important stage of its evolution. Based at the PJ Thory office in Coates, Peterborough, you will operate across three established brands, where you will lead the finance function and play a key role in integrating the business into the wider Holcim Group.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will bring financial insight to day-to-day decision making while strengthening reporting, processes and controls as the business transitions from outsourced accounting to an in-house model. This role offers the opportunity to shape how finance operates within the business, lead a long-standing team through positive change, and build strong relationships across both the local operation and the wider Holcim finance community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of monthly management accounts and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with Holcim Group standards.
- Acting as a trusted business partner to the Senior Management Team, providing financial analysis and insight to support operational and commercial decisions.
- Leading and developing a small finance team, supporting colleagues who bring deep organisational knowledge while helping the team evolve into new ways of working.
- Establishing clear financial controls, reporting processes and cash flow forecasting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information across the organisation.
- Supporting the integration and simplification of multiple business entities, improving financial visibility and efficiency across the businesses operating on site.
You are a qualified accountant with strong experience in financial control, reporting and business partnering. You bring a strong understanding of financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
