We’re looking for a Safety, Health & Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at Torr Works Quarry, supporting the delivery of a strong and progressive SHE strategy across a busy operational environment. This is a permanent, site-based role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders to promote a positive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with practical operational support. You’ll play a key role in guiding site teams, supporting audits and investigations, developing procedures and training initiatives, and helping to create an environment where safety and sustainability remain central to everyday operations. With exposure across multiple functions and the opportunity to influence long-term improvement projects, this role offers excellent scope to make a meaningful impact.
- Supporting and implementing Safety, Health & Environmental strategies, policies and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Providing specialist SHE guidance and practical support to operational teams to help maintain compliance with legislation, company standards and integrated management systems.
- Supporting audits, inspections, incident investigations and high-profile site visits, while identifying opportunities to enhance site performance and safety culture.
- Assisting with the development and delivery of SHE procedures, guidance and training programmes in collaboration with operational teams and the wider workforce.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, enforcement agencies and local communities to support effective communication and positive engagement.
You have a strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and how it applies within industrial or operational settings. You are confident supporting audits, investigations, inspections and continuous improvement activities. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and workplace culture.
