The Opportunity
We have an excellent opportunity to join our Kendalls division as a 2nd Engineer on board our dredger operating around the south coast of the UK on a rotational 3 weeks on 3 weeks off shift pattern. As the 2nd Engineer you'll be responsible for all aspects of engineering on board and will report to and assist the Chief Engineer in the safe operation of the vessel. This includes but is not limited to carrying out planned maintenance and necessary repairs of all machinery both in machinery spaces and on deck such as generators, dredger pumps, organisation of spares and stores, good housekeeping in the engine room etc.
Certifications/Experience required
- Minimum STCW III/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch Unlimited Certificate of Competency or a UK CECA valid ENG1 (medical fitness certificate) or accepted equivalent.
- All valid STCW certification.
- Ideally some experience working on a dredger vessel, however this is not essential for the role.
