About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Production Officer for our plant located at Brompton SA. This role involves a mix of manual handling, logistics coordination and administration. Roles in Concrete Plants are fast paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process driven with a high level of attention to detail. The role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy operational environment. You will be given full training provided on equipment, systems and procedures and the overtime and weekend work offers real earning potential.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Production of concrete using multiple systems and processes.
  • Allocating and assigning loads to drivers as well as coordination of Trucks arriving & departing site.
  • Stock management and coordination of deliveries.
  • Managing contractors carrying out site maintenance.
  • Yard maintenance.
  • Front-end loader operation and manual handling of bagged products.
  • Supporting and displaying a strong safety culture at all times.

About you:

  • Ideally experience in a similar role within related industries.
  • Be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile, supporting a strong team culture.
  • Be passionate about safety, with a strong work ethic, and is results focused.
  • Have effective communication skills and work under pressure.
  • Be able to physically perform all duties associated with the position.
  • Driver's license and own transport is essential.
  • Front end loader competency is essential.
  • Forklift competency an advantage.
  • Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening.

Please note:

  • Hours – approx. 5am to 3pm or 6am to 4pm.
  • Approx. 10-hour days with approx. 2 hours OT per day.
  • 2 or 3 Saturdays a month - a requirement.
