We have a new vacancy for a Night Plant Operative to join our team at our Asphalt plant based out of Botley, near Southampton.
Responsibilities
- Controlling and coordinating the safe operation and production of the Asphalt plant.
- Carrying out daily housekeeping tasks.
- Operating the mobile plant (loading shovel and skidsteer), performing yard duties, and acting as banksman.
- Opportunity to learn fixed plant operations.
Qualifications
- Sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Background in a quarry or asphalt environment desirable but not essential (full training will be given).
- Flexibility with work hours and willingness to work weekend and night shifts.
- Detailed knowledge of operational procedures and understanding of how the plant works and is maintained.
- Ability to understand written instructions and basic math.
- Mobile plant experience desirable.
- Planning ability to use raw inputs efficiently and reduce waste.
- Full driving licence.
