Role Overview

The position is a new vacancy for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our expanding logistics team based at the RMX plant in Whetstone, Leicester. You will operate a concrete mixer truck predominantly from the Whetstone RMX plant, occasionally driving to other regional plants. You will drive any vehicle assigned from the company's fleet, maintain a current licence, uphold a high standard of image and presentation, deliver excellent service, and aim to improve fuel efficiency and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate concrete mixer trucks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain vehicle standards and report any issues
  • Ensure timely delivery of concrete to assigned sites
  • Follow company safety procedures and driving policies
  • Drive any vehicle assigned by the company fleet

Qualifications

  • HGV Class 2 licence held, CPC card desirable
  • MPQC preferred; knowledge of AI policies an advantage
  • Knowledge of concrete mix desirable but not essential
  • Strong customer focus and good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexible to work weekends and potentially overnight hours
