We are a large training practice in Holbrooks, Coventry, currently seeking a Salaried GP to replace a GP relocating to Nottingham. Medical Indemnity Cover will be provided. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
Main duties of the job:
- Undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in Primary Care, such as 12-13 Sessional appointments, including 1-2 'Duty GP' / on-call sessions per week, home visits, telephone, face to face and online consultations, medical reports, admin work including participating in the 'GP Buddy System'.
- Participate in cross cover arrangements to cover while colleagues are on leave.
- Keep contemporaneous, accurate and legible records of all patient contacts and contribute to electronic data recording and audit as directed by the service.
- Prescribe, issue prescriptions and treatments according to agreed protocols and local guidance, within scope of competence.
- Contribute to evaluation/audit, significant event reporting and clinical standard setting within the service.
- Develop and encourage positive working relationships with PCN, ICB, local GP Practices, housing, social work, voluntary services, drug and alcohol, mental health, dental, secondary care and other appropriate services.
- Pursue continuing professional and personal development.
- Participate in operational and strategic planning for the development of the practice.
- Maintain GMC registration and license to practice.
- Ensure inclusion on a local Performers List.

Opening Hours for the organisation: Mon-Fri, 8am-6.30pm, may change subject to government guidance and policy. May include late evenings and/or weekends.
Experience:
- Proficient in use of EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx.
- Experience in Primary Care with a good understanding of issues surrounding Primary Care Service.
- Experience of dealing with challenges in primary care settings.
- Recent evidence of continued academic and professional development.
Qualifications:
- The job holder may have - MRCGP or equivalent.
- Must be currently registered on a performers List.
- Valid registration with the GMC.
- License to Practice on the GP Register.
