Company Overview: Holafly is a high-growth scale-up revolutionising how businesses and travellers connect to the internet abroad. Since 2018, we’ve empowered travellers in over 200 destinations worldwide with secure and reliable eSIM solutions. With a team of 500+ professionals across multiple countries, we are scaling globally to support travellers with seamless, unlimited data connectivity.

The Role: As our Network Quality & AI Automation Manager, you will own the end-to-end performance and reliability of Holafly’s global mobile network. Your strategic leadership directly elevates the customer experience for millions of international travellers by ensuring continuous, high-speed connectivity across all partner networks. You will be the technical authority defining what premium travel connectivity means across 200+ destinations—designing algorithmic observability, automated steering of roaming (SoR), and closed-loop remediation models that preempt service degradation before an end user ever notices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Global Quality Strategy: Define and execute the network quality roadmap to establish market-leading performance benchmarks across 200+ global destinations.
  • Drive Real-Time Observability: Implement advanced monitoring systems to track critical GTP, LTE, and 4G/5G metrics, proactively stopping service degradation before it impacts users.
  • AI-Driven Telemetry & Predictive Intelligence Architecture: Architect and deploy intelligent network telemetry across core roaming 4G/5G signaling (GTP-C/U, S6a, Diameter, and 5GC HTTP/2 SBA), user-plane and radio traffic.
  • Automation Systems Feeding Network Operations: Collaborate with Strategy teams to integrate AI-powered diagnostics and self-healing infrastructure that automatically resolves traffic anomalies and service degradation & network outages. Build GenAI-powered diagnostic agents and automated Root Cause Analysis (RCA) pipelines that automatically parse signaling logs, isolate fault domains, and generate comprehensive post-incident technical summaries for the Operations and Strategy teams. Develop automated playbooks and programmatic triggers that arm Operations engineers with mitigation capabilities during carrier outages.
  • Elevate Core Partner Standards: Conduct continuous technical audits across international MNO, MVNE, and IPX interconnects to ensure strict adherence to core SLAs. Also drive key performance indicators into our core partners and our systems to ensure these SLAs can be monitored and met.
  • Holafly Network Quality Index (NQI) & Benchmarking: Define and continuously evolve the Holafly Network Quality Index (NQI), standardising composite metrics across attach success, latency, throughput, coverage. Collaborate with Cx teams to bridge low-level network telemetry with user experience KPIs, retention figures, and customer sentiment metrics.
  • Guide Cross-Functional Teams: Translate complex signaling telemetry into clear technical priorities, mentoring a high-performing operations team toward operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years in mobile network architecture across MNO, MVNO, or MVNE environments, with proven leadership experience.
  • Deep core network and roaming protocol mastery across EPC and 5GC architectures (MME, PGW, AMF, UPF) and roaming protocols (S6a, GTP-C/U, Diameter).
  • Hands-on expertise in capacity engineering and telemetry analysis tools like Wireshark, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Track record with virtualised core platforms and cloud-native mobile ecosystem integrations.
  • Exceptional technical communication with a natural ability to connect high-level business goals to network execution.
  • Automation & Software Engineering: Proven experience writing robust scripts/tools, interacting with RESTful APIs, and automating complex workflows. Hands-on exposure applying Machine Learning or GenAI to telecommunications.
  • Observability & Telemetry Stacks: Strong hands-on expertise building dashboards, alarms, and data pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strong ability to translate complex technical signaling data into actionable commercial levers, strategic roadmaps, and automated operational toolsets.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with eSIM architecture (GSMA RSP standards, SM-DP+) or cloud deployment (Kubernetes, AWS/GCP).
  • Professional fluency in Spanish for seamless vendor collaboration.

What We Offer:

  • 100% Remote & Flexible Culture: Work from anywhere with a high level of trust and ownership in Europe.
  • Global Scale & Impact: Directly shape the connectivity experience for millions of international travellers worldwide.
  • Growth & Innovation: Opportunity to lead 5G transformation and cloud-native telecom architecture at a fast-scaling tech enterprise.
  • Competitive Package: Benchmark-aligned salary, performance bonuses, health coverage, and professional learning stipends.
