Head of Engineering / Full-Stack Developer – HOKS

Location: Remote / Flexible (candidates based in Azerbaijan or Türkiye strongly encouraged to apply)

Commitment: Part-time → Full-time (startup phase)

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering / Full-Stack Developer to build our MVP and lead HOKS’ technical vision. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing startup at the ground level, shape the product from day one, and participate in the company’s growth through equity ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Together develop, and deploy the HOKS for web and mobile platforms.
  • Build and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
  • Implement front-end UI/UX and mobile app functionality.
  • Collaborate with designers and interns to iterate quickly on product features.
  • Make strategic technical decisions to support long-term growth and scalability.
  • Ensure high-quality code, testing, and documentation standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Full-Stack Developer.
  • Proficient in Java and mobile app development (Android, iOS, or cross-platform frameworks).
  • Experience with web technologies (React, Node.js, Django, or similar) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database design, cloud infrastructure, and AI integration.
  • Startup mindset: flexible, resourceful, and able to work in an early-stage environment.
  • Passion for AI, networking, and building scalable products.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
