We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in test automation, middleware/microservices testing, and full lifecycle quality practices. The role requires designing and maintaining automation frameworks, creating test artefacts, and supporting both manual and automated testing throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience mentoring junior team members and working in collaborative, agile teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience as a Quality Engineer with knowledge of test lifecycle, test processes, and test tools
  • Banking or Finance experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to create test artefacts aligned to a Test Strategy, write automation scripts against user stories, and maintain test traceability
  • Advanced skills in Java, Python (including Pytest), Cucumber, Gradle, Maven, BDD/TDD, GitHub, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Jira, Confluence
  • Coding ability to support automation framework creation and maintenance
  • Experience in defining/updating automation frameworks
  • Testing experience with Middleware, Microservices, API Platforms
  • Strong background in both manual and automated testing, functional and non-functional coverage
  • Defect management and documentation across the full testing lifecycle
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and working with Docker, Cloud, Jenkins, Splunk
  • Experience with exploratory testing
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in data migration, database testing, feed files, and understanding batch processes/scheduling
  • Experience mentoring/upskilling junior team members

Desirable:

  • Experience in GCP / cloud transformation projects
  • Advanced database testing experience
  • Knowledge of emerging test tools and evaluating tools for adoption
