Senior SAP BASIS Engineers – Contract – INSIDE IR35 – Hybrid
We’re seeking Senior SAP BASIS Engineers to support a high-profile data centre migration project. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering the SAP hosting architecture and application landscape across a complex mix of bare-metal and virtualised infrastructure (Windows, RHEL, VMware).
This is a critical delivery, and we’re open to both contract and interim hires with deep expertise in SAP technical architecture and migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support SAP environment migrations as part of a broader data centre move
- Design and deploy SAP application landscapes across hybrid infrastructure (physical + virtual)
- Provide BASIS support for SAP installations, upgrades, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to align SAP hosting with enterprise architecture standards
- Ensure system performance, availability, and resilience during and post-migration
Required Expertise:
- SAP Basis administration with 8+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge across:
- NetWeaver (Java and ABAP)
- SAP BW / BW4HANA
- SAP HANA
- SAP BFC (Business Financial Consolidation)
- SAP FIM (Financial Information Management)
- Business Objects / BODS
- Apache Tomcat
- Deep understanding of OS hosting on Windows and RHEL
- Experience with bare-metal appliance infrastructure and VMware virtualisation
- Hands-on experience with SAP system copies, performance tuning, migrations
Nice to Have:
- SAP certifications (e.g., Basis, HANA, BW/4HANA)
- Previous experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments
- Familiarity with hybrid or cloud-hosted SAP deployments (Azure, AWS, etc.)
