Job Title: Carrier Management Specialist—Telecom Operations

Duration: long-term contract

Location: UK Based Hybrid (2-3 days Sheffield)

(Banking domain experience preferred)

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Carrier Management Specialist to join our team supporting a Tier 1 bank. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in telecom carrier operations, vendor coordination, and process optimization within highly regulated enterprise environments. You will be the key liaison between telecom service providers and internal technology teams to ensure operational excellence, service continuity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for telecom carrier services across multiple regions (WAN, LAN, SIP, MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.)
• Manage carrier relationships, contracts, SLAs, escalations, and disputes in coordination with procurement/legal.
• Drive process governance around carrier provisioning, billing, and performance tracking.
• Maintain accurate inventory of carrier services, track service delivery timelines, and ensure compliance with banking standards.
• Ensure telecom service continuity through proactive risk and incident management.
• Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives around telecom carrier operations.
