We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong exposure to networking services, particularly F5 technologies, to join the F5 Delivery team within the Network Security and Traffic Management function for a major banking client.
This role involves working within a sophisticated technical environment where you will be expected to rapidly develop domain knowledge and apply it to complex engineering challenges. You’ll work independently while still collaborating effectively with others across the platform.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, test, and maintain F5 devices in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
- Use expertise in F5 Big-IP, Jenkins, GitHub, and similar tooling to enhance and automate network infrastructure.
- Build and deploy technologies across both private and public cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration.
- Support the development of enterprise applications critical to banking operations.
- Proven background as an Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong understanding of network technologies, protocols, and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with F5 Big-IP, AppViewX ADC+, DO, and AS3.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with enterprise integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and tools such as Jira and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in building and deploying technologies in both private and public cloud environments.
- Understanding of modern cloud-based architectures as well as traditional datacentre-hosted environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Good awareness of Operational Resilience and Security best practices.
