Business Analyst with a strong business acumen and a strong manufacturing background.

Our ideal candidate has experience with shop orders, shop floors, how raw material is consumed, how material flows through the manufacturing process, how time is allocated against orders, how cost is considered in the manufacturing process, efficiencies, and utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define project requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs to identify solutions and improvements.
  • Create and maintain detailed functional and non-functional requirement documents, user stories, and use cases.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business requirements and current systems.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and timely issue resolution.
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions, offering insights to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Perform quality assurance testing to validate that the software meets specified requirements and functions as intended.
  • Assist in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and clarification to development teams during the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze user feedback and system performance data to recommend continuous improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the software solutions align with current standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business processes, systems, and software functionality.
  • Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to ensure smooth adoption of new software features.

Who You Are

  • Possesses a minimum 5 years' progressive experience within Manufacturing environments and ERPs
  • Has experience with shop orders, shop floors, how raw material is consumed, how material flows through the manufacturing process, how time is allocated against orders, how cost is considered in the manufacturing process, efficiency, and utilization.
  • Ideally possesses a post-secondary education with a focus in engineering, (engineer or technologist) in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • Has a minimum 3 years on client-facing roles
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in ERP implementation or upgrade projects
  • Experience with IFS would be considered an asset
  • Fluent in English, Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an appropriate field of study and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • 50% availability for travel
  • Legally entitled to work in the country you are applying for
