What You'll Do

  • Learn to safely set and operate specialist CNC manufacturing machinery.
  • Set up, load and unload machines ready for production.
  • Inspect finished products using measuring equipment and visual checks.
  • Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Change machine tooling under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
  • Prepare products for storage, packaging or dispatch.
  • Report any faults, defects or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Learn to use company IT systems where required.
  • Complete your apprenticeship training while developing valuable manufacturing and engineering skills.
  • Training Outcome

Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a permanent Machine Operator role with Hogley Brothers.

As your skills and experience develop, you'll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility, learn additional machinery and processes, gain further industry-recognised qualifications, and progress into more senior manufacturing or supervisory roles.
