Department Summary

The Growth Team is responsible for driving incremental revenue for WPP Production. Focused primarily on New Business, the team works closely with all departments across the business to deliver best in class responses to client requests for proposals. Often the first touch-point a new client has with the company, the team plays a critical role in presenting WPP Production in the best possible light whilst living and breathing the company values.

The role

The Senior Growth Manager plays a central role in driving WPP Production's growth, leading pitch responses, RFP submissions and client presentations that clearly articulate our value and deliver winning results. This role blends strategic thinking with strong project leadership. You’ll take ownership of multiple opportunities — managing timelines, inputs, and stakeholders to ensure every response is delivered on time and to the highest standard — while also shaping the story that ties it all together.

You’ll be responsible for creating a clear red thread and a compelling narrative that connects disparate materials into a cohesive, client-centric story. Working alongside client leads, you’ll ensure every submission has a strong overarching narrative — one that is distinct, persuasive, and directly addresses the client’s brief and objectives.

You’ll help define the strategic approach for each opportunity, ensuring the story, structure, and positioning of every response reflect WPP Production's proposition and competitive advantage. You’ll balance creative flair with commercial understanding — able to explain how our operational model works, why it’s effective, and what it delivers for clients.

Key activities:

  • Take ownership of specific new business opportunities, leading the process end-to-end — from strategy to submission.
  • Develop cohesive and compelling narratives that bring together strategy, operations, and creative thinking into a unified client story.
  • Shape and articulate operational models and value propositions clearly — demonstrating how they work, why they matter, and the benefit to the client.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client leads to ensure each response and presentation has a strong, client-centric narrative.
  • Liaise with WPP agencies and colleagues on multi-agency opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in WPP Production, WPP, WPP OpCos, and intermediaries.
  • Support the ongoing development of case studies, marketing collateral, and credentials materials.
  • Ensure the New Business Growth Hub is up to date with high-quality content that adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor activity and broader industry trends to keep WPP Production’s positioning sharp and differentiated.

Requirements

  • Advertising experience/Production background is preferable.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives.
  • Strategic thinker who can distil complexity into clarity and align ideas to client needs and business outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders across WPP Production, WPP, and client organisations.
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects and large volumes of content across stakeholders.

Diversity and Inclusion

WPP Production is committed to diversity and inclusion, through our ideas, our people, how we behave and conduct ourselves. Creating a truly inclusive culture at all levels of the organisation that encourages different points of view, making WPP Production not only a better company and place to work but an environment where everyone experiences connection, opportunity and a sense of belonging.

Why work here:

At WPP Production, you’ll help shape the future of content production at a truly global scale. We bring together world-class talent, cutting-edge studios, and advanced technology to solve some of the most complex creative and production challenges in the industry. You’ll work in a collaborative, borderless environment where craft excellence is valued, innovation is encouraged, and AI and next-generation tools are used to amplify not replace human creativity. With access to diverse projects, global career opportunities, and the backing of WPP’s unmatched network, this is a place where you can grow your skills, make real impact, and create work that performs for every audience, across every channel, at every moment.
