Head of Management Accounts – Hogarth
We are Hogarth, a global content production company partnering with leading brands worldwide. As part of the Hogarth Group, we deliver engaging, measurable content across all channels and media.
Role Overview
The Head of Management Accounts manages the Management Accounts team within the Management Reporting function, overseeing the reporting of monthly results, financial reporting, and the smooth operation of the finance function for Hogarth and its Joint Ventures.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily support for the UK Financial Controller, including month‑end close and reporting.
- Compare actuals to budget, prepare monthly management information for discussion at management meetings (actual vs forecast, variance and trend analysis).
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and departmental spend ownership with the business.
- Establish and monitor internal controls, ensuring SOX compliance and safeguarding company assets and operations.
- Consolidate the UK P&L, prepare tax packs and PSA calculations.
- Lead audit walkthroughs and interactions with auditors on relevant controls.
Reporting Lines & Stakeholders
The role reports to the UK Financial Controller and works closely with Senior Management Accountants and the Revenue team to deliver month‑end reporting.
Requirements
- Senior Management Accountant experience with line management responsibilities.
- Qualified accountant status (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong Excel and Word skills; prior SOX experience.
- Background in media or service‑related industries beneficial (not essential).
- Experience in project‑time based organisations and high‑volume service businesses.
- Knowledge of Maconomy and Cartesis reporting beneficial, though not essential.

- Accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Effective communicator and team builder, capable of managing deadlines.
