Department: Finance – Legal Project Manager Support
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm. Additional hours may be required. Hybrid working allows up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office.
Role Overview: Senior Manager – LPM Lead – LAE, EMEA will work closely with the Head of LPM and other key stakeholders to support the effective implementation of LPM initiatives within the practice group. This role evolves the practice LPM strategy while carrying out traditional LPM activities such as scoping, pitching, planning, managing, monitoring, matter completion and review. Provide on‑demand support and consultancy for partners and lawyers on live matters and identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with partner and lawyer teams to support efficient management of sophisticated client engagements, including scoping, pitching, planning, managing and monitoring, matter completion, and review.
- Provide on‑demand support and consultancy for partners and lawyers on live matters at set‑up, delivery and review.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation, assist with development of solutions and embed best practice when developed.
- Champion and support the build‑out of LPM capability across Hogan Lovells.
- Act as a trusted member of transaction/case teams focused on service quality, delivery and efficiency.
- Liaise with operational specialists (pricing/finance, reporting/IT, knowledge gathering and sharing, pitching/marketing and business development) to support LPM functions.
- Provide training and development on the LPM methodology and tools; support implementation, use and further development of the legal project management software tool; provide user training for fee earners on the software.
Strategic and Operational Goals:
- Collaborate with the Head of LPM to advance global strategic objectives of the LPM team, including rollout of tools, training programs and processes.
- Lead practice‑specific initiatives: planning, implementing and maintaining practice‑specific LPM knowledge, tools and processes aligned with the firm’s broader framework.
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and support to the LPM team within the practice group, managing workloads and prioritising tasks.
- Coach and mentor LAE International team members, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and supporting their career development.
- Communicate LPM initiatives and best practices within the practice group.
Skills & Experience – Essential:
