Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. We are happy to consider agile and flexible working patterns. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office.

Department Description: We have a well-established global Marketing and Business Development (M&BD) team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities. The team is divided into a number of key areas: Clients & Sectors; Practice M&BD; BD & Strategy; and Corporate Communications. There are also regional M&BD teams in the Americas, EMEA and APAC, with whom this role will interact.
Clients & Sectors is at the heart of the firm’s strategy and the way we go to market. We have 14 Sectors, which act as the glue that helps bring together our lawyers across our practices and regions, and enables us to bring "the whole of the firm to the whole of the client." They are responsible for building our reputation and profile as a leading law firm in their respective sectors. More importantly, they are responsible for client engagement in those sectors, in pursuit of the firm’s strategy to become the leading firm for client service.
Role Overview: The M&BD Adviser – Clients & Sectors is integral in helping to drive the Clients & Sectors Program forward. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clients & Sectors M&BD leadership team to help support the Global Managing Partner for Growth, the Global Managing Partner for Sectors, and the Sector Heads in managing the overall Clients and Sectors Program.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Ensuring smooth operational performance of the Clients & Sectors Program and its priorities.
- Managing the scheduling and administration of Client Relationship team calls.
- Liaising with the M&BD Operations team to edit and publish regular internal newsletters concerning the Clients & Sectors Program.
- Assisting with the tracking and management of the respective Clients & Sectors Program business plans and associated budgets within the Clients & Sectors Program.
- Working closely with the central Thought leadership team and the respective Client and Sector teams to maintain an overarching tracker of relevant client-facing insights.
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects as required, including various cross-sector and key client program projects.
- Developing a broad understanding of the leading priorities and activities being undertaken across the respective Client and Sector teams so as to share perspectives on best practices and overlapping priorities.
- Coordinating and organising calls and in-person meetings such as the quarterly partner leadership calls, offsites, and sector and client M&BD calls which includes the preparation of slides and key actions / meeting minutes.
- Handling general administrative tasks such as core team lists, meeting schedules, intranet pages etc.
- Actively contributing to the planning and execution of global conferences such as the sector retreats and partner conferences.
Person Specification:
Qualifications And Training: At least two years’ experience working in a professional services environment. Prior exposure to marketing and business development focused departments and / or law firms is desirable but not required.
