Department Description: Hogan Lovells debt capital markets practice offers expert advice on a full range of debt capital markets and structured finance transactions and derivatives. It operates as an integrated part of an international debt capital markets and structured finance team. We are recruiting for an Associate to join our busy Derivatives and Structured Products practice. The work involves advising clients on:
- the establishment and updating of on and off balance sheet structured products programmes;
- securitised and OTC derivatives;
- hedging arrangements as part of structured finance transactions;
- structured repo and securities lending arrangements;
- repackagings; and
- regulatory advice connected with the above.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Possesses good working knowledge and understanding of the legal principles associated with the scope of work outlined above; proactively develops this knowledge further.
- Shows awareness of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions.

Person Specification: We have an opening for a firstārate derivatives and structured products lawyer. Experience gained within a topātier firm is a requirement. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background with excellent written communication and drafting skills. The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. The ideal candidate will have one to three years postāqualification experience (or equivalent experience).
