Head of Marketing & Business Development – EMEA Regulatory and Global Antitrust & Competition Practice Job Title: Head of Marketing & Business Development – EMEA Regulatory and Global Antitrust & Competition Practice Department: Marketing & Business Development (M&BD) Location: London Reports To: Global Head of Business Development & Strategy – Global Regulatory & IP (GR&IP) Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office. Firm Description: Hogan Lovells is a leading global law firm, providing business-oriented legal advice and high-quality service across its breadth of practices to clients around the world. Department Description: We have a well-established global M&BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities. Role Overview: The Head of M&BD for the EMEA Regulatory and Global Antitrust, Competition, and Economic Regulation (ACER) practices will serve as part of the global practice business leadership team. Key responsibilities / Accountabilities: Targeting and new business generation: Advising partners and teams on specific new business opportunities. Identifying opportunities with relevant partners and M&BD department resources. Pitches: Acting as strategic advisor and facilitator on panel and opportunity-specific pitches. Preparing pitch teams for presentations. Marketing campaigns and profile raising: Overseeing the delivery of marketing programs and campaigns. Ensuring EMEA and global directory submissions are completed to the highest standard. M&BD planning and budgeting: Working closely with the Global Head of BD & Strategy to develop robust M&BD plans. Managing the implementation of M&BD plans. Client development: Leading strategy and offering coaching for specific client opportunities. Supporting the practice group’s participation in the firm’s global Client Feedback Program. Line management responsibilities: Line managing a global BD team that supports various practices. Ensuring there is a structured approach for maintaining up-to-date M&BD information. Wider BD projects: Managing and contributing to wider GR&IP and M&BD projects as required. Person Specification: Essential: Significant experience in a professional services industry. Strong operational and project management skills. Experience of managing and motivating people. Desired: Experience in the legal sector or with a legal background. Qualifications & Training: Desired: A relevant post-graduate management or marketing qualification.
