The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) is the UK’s independent body dedicated to improving pensions administration standards. We set the benchmark for best practices, provide accreditation, and work closely with regulators and industry stakeholders to enhance service quality for pension savers.
As part of our continued commitment to excellence, we are seeking two Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to join our Board and help guide PASA’s strategic direction.

We are seeking senior industry professionals who bring significant pensions experience and strong strategic leadership skills. While a deep understanding of pensions administration is essential, candidates do not need to be administrators or currently working in administration.
Candidates must have held a senior leadership role within the pensions industry, with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Pensions administration – Experience with service providers, third-party administrators, or in-house teams.
- Trustee governance & scheme management – Expertise in defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pensions.
- Regulation & compliance – Strong knowledge of The Pensions Regulator (TPR) guidelines and industry legislation.
- Technology & transformation – Experience in digital innovation within pensions administration.
- Operational leadership & strategy – Proven track record in driving business performance and industry change.
- Employer must be (or be willing to become) a PASA member – this is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Ability to commit to quarterly board meetings (held in person/virtually) and ongoing contributions via email and working groups.
- Strong industry presence with an established network of pensions professionals.
- Passion for improving pensions administration standards and influencing industry-wide change.
- Shaping and delivering PASA’s long-term strategy for pensions administration.
- Providing governance oversight and industry expertise to the Board.
- Engaging with regulators, policymakers, and key stakeholders to drive best practice adoption.
- Supporting PASA’s working groups and helping to develop new initiatives and guidance.
- Representing PASA at industry events, conferences, and media engagements.
- This is a voluntary, non-remunerated role.
- Quarterly board meetings (in person or virtual).
- Ongoing email and working group contributions between meetings.
- The ability to advocate for PASA and contribute thought leadership is highly valued.
