London Treasury, an FCA-regulated investment manager, is seeking a senior investment professional with private markets experience to lead its activities as the Principal Portfolio Manager of the London Treasury Liquidity Fund (LTLF) — a diversified fund arrangement spanning liquidity, credit and strategic investments. LTLF is an alternative investment fund, structured as a Scottish limited partnership, with G10 Capital as the AIFM. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a growing investment organisation, combining institutional investing with genuine purpose. The role offers the chance to shape strategy, influence outcomes and contribute to a fund structure where investment decisions have a clear and tangible real-world impact.
About the Role
You will lead the investment team within London Treasury which undertakes portfolio management on behalf of LTLF, with responsibility for investment strategy, portfolio performance and team leadership. This is a broad and high-impact role combining hands-on investment responsibility with strategic oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and evolution of the fund’s investment strategy
- Owning portfolio construction, performance and risk management across liquidity, credit and private market exposures
- Chairing the Investment Committee and engaging with senior stakeholders and boards
- Selecting and overseeing the external portfolio managers
- Leading and developing a high-performing investment team
- Working closely with Risk and Operations within an FCA-regulated environment
- Supporting the continued growth and evolution of LTLF
About You
We are looking for a senior investment professional with:
- Experience across private markets, alongside credit, fixed income or multi-asset investing
- Strong understanding of investment structures, including funds, partnerships or structured products
- Experience operating within an FCA-regulated environment (SMCR experience required)
- A track record of working at investment committee or senior decision-making level
- Experience leading or developing teams
You may come from an asset manager, pension fund, insurer or alternatives platform. You will bring strong judgement, credibility and a collaborative leadership style, along with a motivation to apply your investment expertise in a role with clear purpose and long-term impact.
