Your Mission
In this role, you will lead the approval and certification of new and existing Ex electrical products from concept through to completion, ensuring all products meet global compliance standards, including ISO/IEC 80079-34 and other relevant certification requirements.
You will drive quality excellence by leading the QA & Test Team to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient testing activities, while acting as the technical authority for Ex-certified products to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Working closely with internal teams, certification bodies, suppliers, and customers, you will help deliver innovative, reliable solutions that meet both business and customer needs.

- Provide technical expertise to resolve complex customer and product-related issues, including fault analysis and technical reporting.
- Introduce new design innovations and contribute to the development of high‑quality, industry‑leading products.
- Improve testing processes, team performance, and right‑first‑time results through strong leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Sales, Logistics, and Technical teams with product selection, compliance guidance, and product investigations.
- Ensure testing, inspection, and documentation standards are maintained to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

- Strong understanding of Ex electrical engineering principles, product certification, and quality assurance standards.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring technical, QA, or testing teams within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate technical and product quality issues.
- Confident communicator who can work effectively with customers, suppliers, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
