Responsibilities

  • Teach from Year 4 to Year 8, delivering engaging and challenging English lessons.
  • Support and encourage pupils who find the subject more demanding, while challenging the most capable learners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of English (Prep) and the department to implement ambitious curricula and development plans.
  • Ensure the curriculum is cohesive, progressive, and aligned across year groups, providing a seamless transition for pupils.
  • Participate in safeguarding and welfare activities, completing an enhanced DBS disclosure as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in delivering English, with proven expertise to extend and support pupils.
  • Passion for writing, reading, and discussion, capable of inspiring a love for English.
