Hodge Jones & Allen LLP are looking to recruit a New Enquiry Handler to support our Civil Liberties team. This is an office based role that involves receiving incoming calls/making outgoing calls, managing enquiries submitted via email/our website, and dealing with all new enquiries within the department.

Through careful listening and questioning, the New Enquiry Handler will gain an insight into the client’s requirements and assist as far as possible, liaising with fee earners to determine whether the case can be taken on. They will need to complete an accurate written attendance note of the call and ensure it is logged on our systems and circulated to reviewing fee earners. The New Enquiry Handler will also provide signposting information to those enquiries we cannot assist with.

The ability to handle a high level of incoming calls, manage information and interact with diverse and vulnerable clientele in a sensitive and professional manner at all times is essential.

  • Relevant legal qualification/s, such as LLB, LLM etc.
  • Previous legal work experience.
  • Previous experience working with vulnerable clients.
  • Good administrative and literacy skills, a methodical approach, teamwork, the ability to work on your own initiative and a flexible attitude.
  • Working in an organised manner, paying attention to detail and good time management.
