We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to join us at our London HQ and play a key role in driving Hodfords' next stage of growth.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll work closely with our Managing Director and leadership team to identify opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and grow new business across our AI, data, and digital transformation offerings.

You’ll be at the forefront of one of the most exciting areas in technology, helping C‑level executives and transformation leaders embrace AI responsibly and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across target sectors (financial services, insurance, utilities, retail, and healthcare).
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through Linked In outreach, email campaigns, networking, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and follow up with high‑quality leads from our AI Readiness Assessments, Workshops, and Launchpad programmes.
  • Conduct client discovery meetings to understand business goals, challenges, and AI maturity levels.
  • Work with technical and delivery teams to shape proposals, SOWs, and value propositions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and provide weekly pipeline updates.
  • Represent Hodfords at events, conferences, and roundtables, positioning us as trusted advisors in AI and digital transformation.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in business development or consultative sales within technology, software, or professional services.
  • Understanding of AI, data, and digital transformation trends, or a genuine curiosity to learn quickly.
  • Proven track record in generating and closing new business with C‑suite and senior technology leaders (CIO, CTO, COO, CDO).
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM and outreach tools is desirable.
  • Self‑starter mindset, able to manage your own pipeline and drive opportunities forward with minimal supervision.
  • A collaborative approach, comfortable working closely with delivery and leadership teams.
