About The Role
A leading UK education provider is seeking a Senior Delivery Lead to drive the next phase of its People Systems Project, with a focus on innovation, system efficiency, and improved data structures. This 12-month opportunity (until end of July 2026) sits at the heart of strategic transformation in how people systems and workforce data deliver ongoing value and operational efficiency across the organisation.
Phase 2 of the project is divided into two key workstreams:
- System Efficiency & Innovation
- Position Data & Establishment Control Both are underpinned by the organisations HRIS platform (SAP SuccessFactors).
This is a high-impact role suited for a senior-level professional with proven leadership in programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, and systems transformation. Youll work closely with senior leaders and delivery teams to ensure on-time, value-driven execution that supports long-term organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery across both project workstreams, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy, scope, and timelines.
- Develop and maintain detailed delivery plans, including milestones, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across HR, IT, Finance, academic units, and business functions to drive alignment and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Act as the main delivery lead for Phase 2, working in close partnership with senior sponsors to ensure accountability, visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage third-party suppliers and technical partners, ensuring quality, performance, and contractual obligations are met.
- Establish and maintain governance structures that support timely decision-making, risk mitigation, and transparent reporting.
- Champion behavioural and cultural change as automation and new data models are introduced.
- Ensure system and data governance frameworks are implemented and compliant with relevant standards.
- Oversee budgets and resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
- Report progress, risks, and delivery insights to sponsors and governance groups.
Required Skills & Experience
Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience leading large-scale transformation or change programmes, ideally in an HR or systems/data-focused context.
- Strong background managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver time-sensitive project objectives.
- Strategic understanding of organisational change involving people systems and data.
- Ability to independently drive complex projects and resolve delivery challenges.
- Background in education would be an advantage.
