HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Limited is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Information, Planning Engineer to join our Sellafield IDP project. You will detail planning for the design, consents, approvals, construction and commissioning of specific tasks and projects at feasibility, option selection and pre-construction stages and manage programmes and planning through work preparation, design and construction in accordance with the contract and planning procedures.
The role requires you to resource loading programmes, preparation of schedules and reports required to support the programme and collaborate frequently with other designers, contractors and stakeholders. You must provide planning advice and direct help to the sector leader, our clients and contractors, including input into the preparation of task and project quotations.
You will also be responsible for preparing visual material in support of planned methods and undertake programme risk analysis, contribute to 4D time sequence planning using Syncro or similar applications.
Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
It is essential that you hold a degree in a relevant infrastructure engineering discipline and have previous experience of preparing project programmes for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor using planning software and applications. You must understand the relevant Conditions Of Contract with experience implementing the clauses relevant to planning and understand the specific Contract additional clauses or contract amendments. Current certified training in planning and use of applicable software is desirable.
