About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Information, Temporary Works Engineer to join our Sellafield IDP project. You will manage temporary works procedures and design and/or check other design works. You will be responsible for designing of temporary works or simple permanent works and the management of internal and external designers. You will manage temporary works procedures and conduct independent technical reviews, HAZARD and Risk Reviews. Within the role, you must implement necessary Sellafield Ltd procedures and conduct internal and external progress reporting. Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
About you
It is essential that you hold an engineering degree in the relevant engineering discipline. You will have an understanding and working knowledge of construction methods, materials and design processes and hold previous experience completing designs within a consultancy or temporary works design department. You will be a member of an appropriate professional institution e.g. MICE. The role requires you to have the ability to deputise for the Principal Engineer if required. You must also understand the Principal Designer Duties including ERIC.
