About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our team in New Cross, London to work on the London Power Tunnels (LPT2) project. You will assist with the management of the planning function on the project through the provision of an efficient and effective planning, scheduling and project performance reporting function for LPT2. The role will require you to be responsible for the evaluation of project contract documents in order to build and maintain detailed programmes specifying time and resource requirements and to assist the Package Manager as directed with planning related matters for the project. You will review construction progress with input from the construction team, update programmes and produce reports as necessary and monitor the collation of progress information and production of progress reporting as required including Weekly Progress Report, Weekly Work Plan (CRL), Monthly Dashboard (CRL).
About you
It is essential that you have extensive experience in a civil engineering or HNC Construction related discipline. You will demonstrate a broad understanding and working knowledge of construction methods and outputs and have active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery. A clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function is required along with competent use of industry software. You must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project. Commercial awareness of different forms of contracts is also required along with a detailed knowledge of estimating software packages.
