About us
HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Limited is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering. We are proud of our achievements and our reputation for innovation, dynamism and excellence, built firmly on the commitment and dedication of each member of our team.
About the role
We are looking to expand our team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver a tunnelling project in the beautiful region of Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying a network of overhead cables and removing a number of pylons to restore and protect the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape. The project requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to proactively contribute to the commercial success of the project and thus the business. You will be responsible for preparing applications and reports, reviewing incoming accounts and correspondence, and reacting accordingly. You will manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations. It is therefore important that you have a detailed understanding of the general and specific contract and subcontract terms. Please note that this role will be site based 5 days per week.
