About the role
We are looking to expand our Work Winning team with a skilled and enthusiastic Bid Manager to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire or our London Paddington Office. You will drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender, following designated processes and best practice in place within the organisation. You will ensure that a coherent bid strategy is developed, working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director and continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities which will enhance our chance of bid success. The role will require you to agree bid budgets and monitor the expenditure with our Head of Management. You will also be responsible for arranging and co-ordinating tender and post-tender meetings and interviews with the Client and Employers Agent. Please note: This role will be office based 5 days per week until you have successfully completed your 6 month probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
About you
Within this role, you will be required to have a sound knowledge of the UK construction market and knowledge of relevant legislation and Civil Engineering. You must have commercial awareness of different forms of contract and strong presentation and client communication skills. A sound knowledge of the HOCHTIEF governance and procedural requirements for work winning are also essential for this role.
