About the role

We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Manager to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.

You will lead and manage the IT team, ensuring effective resource utilisation and fostering continuous improvement.

The role requires you to oversee all information systems for effective and secure operation, including ICT onboarding, offboarding, and employee variations and manage secure communication solutions and enhance business efficiency by advising on and re-engineering ICT processes with Department Heads.

You will be responsible for managing the ICT projects portfolio, ensuring documentation and successful implementation with internal and third-party stakeholders. Managing and reporting on ICT performance, using data to set targets and define action plans is a key element for this position.

Within the role, you will oversee all information security risks and compliance, adhering to standards like ISO27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials, and manage third-party security relationships, including MDR (Arctic Wolf) and firewall teams.

Please note that this role will be office based 5 days per week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.

About you

Hands-on experience and strong proficiency with the following technologies are essential for this position:

  • Microsoft Azure: Strong expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing Azure environments, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, security services (Azure Security Center/Defender for Cloud), and identity management (Azure AD).
  • Microsoft 365 E5 Suite & Security Tools: Strong proficiency in managing and securing the M365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Defender for Endpoint/Identity/Cloud Apps, and Purview.
  • Experience in managing relationships with MDR providers (specifically Arctic Wolf preferred) and external firewall teams.
  • Familiarity with network concepts and the ability to work with Meraki devices.
  • Proficiency in using IT Service Management platforms (e.g., Freshservice).

You must have a strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (ISO27001, NIST, CIS Controls, Cyber Essentials) as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
