About the role

We are looking to expand our Work Winning team with a skilled and enthusiastic Estimator to be based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire. The role will require you to assist with the preparations of detailed and accurate pricing for tenders and support Clients with pricing support for early contractor involvement projects. You will work in coordination with the Bid Manager to ensure competitive pricing and agree methodologies and outputs for key activities with planners and, where appropriate, with the Bid Manager/Design Manager. The role requires you to produce competitive prices using methodologies and outputs etc. to suit conditions/situations relevant to the scheme and advise the Bid Manager of the sufficiency of the client bill of quantity/activity schedule and arrange for full quantity take off or checking as required. You will also be responsible for preparing final pricing documentation for inclusion with tender submissions and, where possible, ensuring pricing maintains a positive cash flow throughout the project.

About you

Within this role, you will be required to have a sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction techniques as well as knowledge of relevant procurement legislation. You will have an awareness of different forms of contract and a detailed knowledge of estimating software packages. Please note that this is a full time office based role and will be working from our Swindon Head Office 5 days a week until successful completion of your probationary period where you can then apply to work from home 1 day per week.
