What you'll do

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.


• Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to assess product quality and functionality.


• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities, ensuring traceability and accountability.


• Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality.


• Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformance issues, providing insights and recommendations for process enhancements.


• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and procedures to streamline operations.


• Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards and regulatory requirements.


• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control practices and the importance of maintaining high standards.


• Support the Quality Assurance Manager in preparing for external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies.


• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality inspection techniques to continually improve practices.


• Contribute to a culture of quality and safety within the organization, promoting awareness and accountability among team members.


• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to quality inspection and assurance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a quality inspection role, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.


• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques, including ISO standards and Six Sigma principles.


• Proficiency in using measurement and testing equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.


• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the fire safety or related industry is a significant advantage.


• Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools.


• Certification in quality control or assurance, such as CQI or CQA, is desirable.


• Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to fire safety products and manufacturing processes.
