Department: Finance
Location: Gillingham
Role Purpose: Support Accounts Department by handling day-to-day transactional operations, including processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing intercompany transactions, and reconciling bank statements, suppliers and customers' statements to SAP in a timely manner. This is a fixed-term contract and will be until the end of March 2027.
Who you’ll report to: Financial Controller
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with sales and purchase order processing in SAP.
- Timely running of customer invoicing and upload of AP invoices on SAP.
- Accurate coding of transactions when posting onto the system.
- Reconciling customer and supplier statements to SAP.
- Dealing with customers/supplier queries and disputes in a timely manner.
- Liaise regularly with relevant departments internally in resolving transactional queries.
- Timely recording of bank payments and receipts in SAP.
- Cash management and multi-currency transactions processing.
- Recording Credit Card transactions and expense claims onto the system.
- Assist in running weekly and EOM payments (BACS and TT’s).
- Produce fully reconciled Ageing reports for review monthly.
- Assisting other members of the department when required - Holiday / Sick Cover.
- To carry out any other ad hoc duties.
Who you’ll be working with: Accounts team, procurement, Hochiki vendors and Internal Departments.
Person Specification: We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:
Qualifications:
- Essential: GCSE’s Mathematics and English.
- Desirable: AAT or ACCA.
Experience:
- Essential: Training will be provided as required.
- Desirable: Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or Finance Officer position.
Knowledge:
- Desirable: SAP Technical skills.
Personal qualities:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- An analytic approach to problem solving.
- A good thinker and active listener.
- Good time management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
