Job role
This role will involve working as part of the Stores and Warehouse team, supporting Kentec’s material stock requirements to support manufacturing stock replenishment. Individuals may be required to work in other areas of the supply chain operation. Shift hours will rotate on a weekly basis, Monday – Thursday, early shift 08:00-16:30, and Friday early shift 08:00-15:30.
Responsibilities
- Move and transfer products to their store’s locations from goods in.
- Replenishment of all production bins promptly, always following the FIFO guidelines.
- Clearing of production shortages.
- Ensure all goods are moved and placed in FIFO order.
- Issue all consignment stock in line with the purchase department's request.
- Maintain the stores mailbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly.
- Record any component issues, shortages or stock discrepancies.
- Carry out stock checks and check discrepancies as requested.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Ensure all activities follow the health & safety requirements of the business.
Other duties:
- Refilling Kanban trolleys at the beginning of each day.
- Kitting of jobs, to meet production requirements.
- Kitting of customer orders and delivering them to the warehouse.
- Assisting the team leader and supervisor with scrap and redundant stock.
- Complete cyclical stock checks throughout the year working towards the total count at the EOY.
- Any other reasonable duties required to assist with the needs of the department and company.
