The successful candidate will be working closely with the test department’s team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. They will be responsible for knowing the correct procedures for staff to follow and ensuring that they comply. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring employees' training is up to date and updating the training matrix.
- Fault finding and carrying out repairs to manual test equipment.
- Fault finding and carrying out simple repairs to the Automatic Test Equipment.
- Identifying issues, raising concerns, and planning corrective actions.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to existing Test Equipment.
- Suggesting new equipment and methods required to aid testing of Company products.
- Understanding calibration and measurement techniques using oscilloscopes and other instrumentation.
- Being proficient in reading circuit diagrams to enable fault finding to component level.
- Reading and understanding component data sheets.
- Following documented policies and procedures as designated by the company.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Adhering to Health and Safety in the workplace.
Skills, Experience and Person Specification:
- Ability to follow instructions and diagrams.
- Working to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of test instrumentation (DMM, oscilloscope, variac, electronic load, etc.).
- Computer literate.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Soldering experience preferred.

- Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:30.
