Department: Supply Chain
Location: Chatham
Role Purpose: Responsible for sales support of Hochiki's products to Export and Republic of Ireland customers.
Who you’ll report to: Export Customer Services Team Leader
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing customer orders for the Export market using the company’s ERP system
- Sending order confirmations daily
- Sending customer proof of deliveries
- Systematically following up on Export customer enquiries
- Releasing customer orders to the warehouse for dispatch
- Liaising with local freight forwarders obtaining quotations for shipping and arranging collection of goods and obtaining proof of deliveries
- Close liaison is necessary with other departments, e.g.: Purchasing, Customer Services, Planning, RSM’s, Credit Control, Warehouse & Goods In
- Assisting customer service staff, as appropriate when workload permits
- Any other duties as required by the Customer Service Team Leader as appropriate to allow for the smooth running of the department
- Calling and emailing customers with order status updates
- Managing and dealing with the daily call intake

Person Specification:
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and have a passion to contribute to the success of Hochiki. In addition to this, you will possess the following:
Qualifications
- Essential: GCSE in English and Mathematics (or Equivalent)
Experience
- Essential: Training will be provided as required
- Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role within a Supply Chain department
Knowledge
- Essential: Export Customer Service skills
- Desirable: Fire Detection products
Technical skills
- Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating systems specifically Excel
- Desirable: SAP
