Job Description

Join a trailblazing biotech on the cutting edge of science and technology.

Hobson Prior is seeking a Health Economist to join a dynamic team in the biotech industry. This role offers flexibility with remote work options. If based in Ireland, occasional office presence (1 day per week) is preferred. For UK-based candidates, occasional travel to the Ireland office will be required. This is a 12-month contract position focused on health technology assessment (HTA) submissions and pricing strategies for pipeline products.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of HTA submissions for Ireland's NCPE (National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics) for key pipeline products.
  • Develop and align pricing strategies for the Republic of Ireland while engaging with external stakeholders to understand market access dynamics.
  • Coordinate submission packages to secure reimbursement for pipeline products in Ireland.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful HTA submissions and arguments in the relevant therapy area.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Knowledge of decision analysis, economic modeling, health outcomes, and quality-of-life assessments.
  • A degree in a relevant field, preferably with postgraduate qualifications in health economics.
  • Proven experience in delivering successful HTA submissions, ideally with Ireland's NCPE. Experience with UK NICE or SMC is also acceptable.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
