Sales Engineer at Hobson Craig

Location: Redditch (commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Stratford upon Avon, Evesham).

Salary: £35-£45k per annum.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and retaining clients.
• Understand client requirements and provide extensive technical engineering support.
• Prepare detailed quotations based on client specifications and project scope.
• Ensure quotations align with company pricing structure.
• Monitor account performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Follow up support on quotations.
• Create and modify CAD technical drawings.
• Coordinate internally with engineering, production and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.

Qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in a technical engineering role such as sales engineer, project manager, technical sales.
• Sound CAD expertise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal / communications skills – able to present internally and externally.
• Pro‑active approach and good problem‑solver.
• Able to visit client sites (approx once a month) and travel when required.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems is advantageous.
